Description:
From July 1st 2007, it will be possible for household customers throughout the European Union to choose their electricity and gas suppliers. In exercising this choice, which is not an obligation, consumers are boosting competition between energy suppliers --and that has to be to their advantage. To be able to make really informed choices, customers need to have access to detailed and open information. This right to information, along with other fundamental rights which guarantee consumer protection, will be included in a future European Charter on the Rights of Energy Consumers. This video shows the situation in Great Britain where the electricity and gas markets have been opened up to competition for domestic consumers for several years now and in the Wallonia Region of Belgium where liberalisation was introduced on January 1st 2007. |

LompeKhylos ::: Favorites Er is helemaal verkeerd getekend ja, als je zo begint kunnen we net zo goed even heel vlaanderen bij Nederland aantrekken. Het zou dan en hoop schelen rond de taal strijd enzovoort. 07-08-09 07:12:55 _____________________________________________________
LavishBeats ::: Favorites Limburg was traditionally part of the Southern Netherlands, present-day Belgium... 07-08-04 12:05:56 _____________________________________________________
jobvdsande ::: Favorites so, lets hope that now finally france will allow competition on their market. they take over smaller suppliers in openmarket countries, but when its their turn to have a company go to foreign hands, suddenly they stalk about 'national security'. A liberal market is cool, as long as everyone abides the rules. 07-08-03 10:55:12 _____________________________________________________
lsamartins ::: Favorites Believe me, it's way better if you leave it for the free market to manage. You can have high prices, no reliability and even lack of supply if you leave it for the state beaurocrats. Just take a look at the energy field in the Latin American countries. 07-08-01 17:01:03 _____________________________________________________
assasin22red ::: Favorites de grens tussen nederland en duitsland is verkeerd getekend. limburg is namelijk van nederland 07-07-30 09:14:20 _____________________________________________________
Mycarrox ::: Favorites Absolutely right, in Holland hospitals were made non state funded commercial enterprises some 15 years ago or so and things are not improving. some hospitals have simply had to close down completely because they were bankrupt, most others are in huge debts. The railways is a simmilar story, it became non state funded, now there are often delays, accidents. They even sold most of their modern trains to Germany and bought older ones from Belgium to try and earn some money. 07-07-28 16:49:04 _____________________________________________________
GunsGotti ::: Favorites it has allready affected prices in The Netherlands and Belgium :( 07-07-25 15:59:01 _____________________________________________________
