Description: ~~WATCH VIDEO RESPONSE FOR COMPARISON~~ This is a Pickup demo im replacing them with kinmans to avoid buzz/hiss/hum that you get when you play through a pa or when there is electronic devices around like a tv or a flourescent light.. Other then that these kinman pickups sound heaps better I found that the neck pickup on the mexican sounds hollow and bland, and the others didnt quite cut it compared to the kinmans, at the kinman factory i played my strat then his strat then went back playing mine and i didnt feel like playing my guitar until i got kinmans in it + you get 4 extra sounds.. see other video for that. so here is a video to show what each position sounds like comparing them both.. Sunshine of your love - Cream (neck) Purple Haze - Hendrix (neck + bridge) blues lick (middle pickup) another lick (middle pickup) big me - foo fighters (middle + bridge position) tribute intro (middle + bridge pickup When I come around (bridge position) Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit (bridge position) + Overdrive Random Chords (all pickups) Noise test.. Front pickup, middle pickup, back pickup Front pickup, middle pickup, back pickup (WITH my 68cm TV) THIS IS A BAD REPRESENTATION OF KINMAN NOISELESS PICKUPS! they do sound a whole lot better then the stock pickups they have more tone.. and the best thing there is barely any buzz/hiss/hum.. the kinmans dont have like any noise.. although in the video it sounds like it does.. but thats because ive got a dodgey camera and its like 20cm away from the amp.. i had a lawn mower going on sometime in the first section and i was using a really dodgey camera to record no microphones or anything just a digital camera, Used same old dead strings for both, pickup adjustment heights arent really quite right yet.. since i installed them today, although heights on stock pickups were factory heights, kinman pickup heights were 3mm from string bass line and 2.5mm on treble string for the first two front pickups, and bridge pickup was only 1.5 mm length in between strings and poles, when pushing on the 12th fret low e and high e string. In my opinion the bridge pickup is too harsh all i have to do is bring the pickup down a bit.. ps. Ohh yeah, and shut up about the mistakes i was just seeing the difference between pickups, this video has no entertainment value, so dont rate it based on that or how well i play guitar. ~~WATCH VIDEO RESPONSE FOR COMPARISON~~ |

Orange crush 15R or 30R i'd recommend (check my vid's) standard pickups at the time see the difference. | joshyboy152 ::: Favorites 2007-12-05 01:46:46 Yeah i agree, I got those because i was sick of having the hum/hiss/buzz that you get with single coils.. it doesnt really show.. in the video.. although they are better louder and have more mids.. you notice the difference in the chords. Also the top 3 pickups selections sounded really hollow and almost unusable, with the kinmans i tend to use all the pickups now. __________________________________________________ | |
