Ha, ha, ha, ha, if that were the case, millions of more people would probably have noticed the effects by now (and they might have even demanded that Wrigley give them their heterosexuality back.) I uploaded this video as a memento of Wrigley's marketing blitz that went on for a while before a group of super-conservative Christians wanted the advertisement taken off the air, and got what they wanted. I think Wrigley should have stuck to their guns and kept the ad on the air just to bring attention to bisexuality as a sexual orientation (and maybe even just to make fun of the conservatives.) Then again, I guess it wouldn't hurt to have the ad taken off the air, considering the possibility that it could perpetuate the stereotype that bisexuals are polygamous, so I guess this argument makes the conservatives right for once, heh. Though, I find these conservative Christian groups to be rather hypocritical because they haven't gone after Wrigley since they still runs ads of its cinnamon variety gums that show two heterosexual couples suddenly making out with each other in a grocery store once they pop the gum in their mouths. So these conservative Christians would allow intense sexual promiscuity between straight people in public, but not gay people? Where do they get their contradictory morals from? |
