strapped9 ::: Favorites 2007-10-28 12:10:16 5 to 10 amps is plenty to get that foamy bath we have been seeing. a simple way would be to lose a few plates. for 12v try 9 plates. if that doesnt work try sealing the cell on all sides and drill small holes in the top and bottom between plates. that will keep any leakage at bay. __________________________________________________ | |

jboritzki ::: Favorites 2007-10-29 23:03:19 If it were me (it's not, but if it were) I'd start out with 2 plates with different but close spacing to see what kind of gap gives off the most gas and then start adding plates to see how much production and amps increase. There probably is a number of plates that is too much, I don't know what that is, but this should give you an idea of where the gas increase slows and the amps rise.
